Diligi Wellness Ingredient Information
Manufacturers of skin care products have a lot of leeway in the claims they make about their products. They can use less than 10% natural ingredients and still claim that the product is "natural".
"Natural" products can still have many ingredients that are harmful to your skin.
All skin-care products contain beneficial ingredients. However, more than 98% of the skin-care products sold in the United States also contain other ingredients as fillers, stabilizers, and preservatives. These reduce the moisture content of the skin and cause other unpleasant side effects.
Ingredients to avoid in your skin care products:
Propylene Glycol
This reduces the product's temperature sensitivity by absorbing moisture.
It absorbs moisture from the skin. It breaks down protein and cell tissue. It is a skin and eye irritant, and may even be linked to kidney damage. (The United States Environmental Protection Agency requires protective gloves and goggles for those who handle propylene glycol.)
Products using this ingredient will leave your skin dry and flakey within two hours of application.
Other Glycols include Ethylene, and Diethylene - (Diethylene glycol was the culprit in the cough syrup sold in Panama that killed more than eighty people during 2007 and may have killed as many as 540. It also prompted the recall of thousands of tubes of toothpaste in the United States.)
NOTE - Government agencies say that glycols are "non-poisonous". However, those same agencies say glycols are not safe for human consumption. This is a dangerous paradox.
Richard Bence, a biochemist who has spent three years researching conventional products, believes that absorbing chemicals through the skin is more dangerous than swallowing them. He says, "If lipstick gets into your mouth it is broken down by the enzymes in saliva and in the stomach. But chemicals [absorbed through the skin] get straight into your bloodstream, there is no protection."
Parabens (including methyl, ethyl, propyl, butyl, and isobutyl)
These show up with regularity in breast cancer studies. They act as estrogen and affect estrogen levels in the body. (It is like taking estrogen when you do not need it.) These ingredients cause allergic reactions and rashes for many people.
Alcohol (including ethyl and isopropyl)
This is a petroleum industry byproduct (also known as industrial waste). It is used in antifreeze and shellac (plastic).
It dries the skin by destroying the skin's pH balance. It dissolves the skin's natural moisturizers and causes wrinkles. Studies show that it can cause cancer.
Petroleum Jelly and Mineral Oil
These interfere with the skin's natural moisturizing ability by clogging pores. This dries the skin and forces skin pores to enlarge.
Diligi Wellness products contain none of the harmful ingredients listed above.

Beeswax
Beeswax comes from the most sterile place in nature — a bee hive! Bees sterilize their hives through creating Propolis or "Russian Penicillin". Propolis is created by bees through combining sap from trees and blending it with wax secreted by glands on their abdomens. The bees then line their hives with Propolis. It neutralizes bacteria, fungi and viruses that enter the hive and produces a germ free environment!
When beeswax is removed from the hive, Propolis provides antiseptic and wound healing properties for humans. Beeswax also sooths and softens the skin by locking in moisture and providing a soothing salve. This combination of benefits makes it the perfect ingredient for the skin care products. It is in Diligi Wellness Antibacterial Cream, Body Cream, Sun Defense, and Chap Stick.
Coconut Oil
Coconut Oil should be the number one ingredient in all your skin care products. It is with Diligi Wellness! Its benefits are simply amazing.
Ordinary soap washes the protective layer of oil and acid off our skin. Combine that with chemicals from other products we use and the environment and your skin is susceptible to free radical damage. This leaves you looking dry and unhealthy. Experts consider coconut oil to be an antioxidant due to its stability and resistance to oxidation and free radical formation. This reduces your need for the antioxidant protection of vitamin E.
It keeps the skin from developing blemishes caused by aging and overexposure to sunlight. Coconut oil relieves dry, rough skin and keeps it strong and supple. This prevents wrinkles. It also restores damaged or diseased skin by removing the outer layer of dead skin cells. The result is silky smooth skin.
You will find coconut oil in Diligi Wellness Antibacterial Cream, Body Cream, Sun Defense, and Chap Stick.
Tea Tree Oil
When British Captain James Cook set foot on the shores of Australia in 1770, he was ready for his daily tea. There was one problem. During his extended expedition to map the area, he had exhausted his supply of British tea.
He looked around and decided he could use the leaves of the Melaleuca tree to make tea. It was a wise choice because the tea tasted great and gave him energy.
Seeing this, Joseph Banks, Cook's botanist, took samples of the leaf to study. He thought there must be something special about the leaves from this "tea tree."
Banks learned what the natives of the area knew. The oil from Melaleuca leaves is an effective antiseptic and disinfectant. (Although it probably isn't the wisest choice for that daily cup of tea.)
It is so effective that the Australian government included bottles of tea tree oil in the first aid kits of soldiers serving in the tropical regions during World War II.
Today, we use synthetic drugs to destroy bacteria. Because of drug over-use, many bacteria are now resistant to these synthetic drugs.
One example is a hospital "super bug" known as MRSA (MER-suh) (methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus). It is resistant to most antibiotics. It highly contagious and can actually eat the flesh.
However, because Tea Tree Oil naturally fights bacteria, fungi, and viruses, it is effective against MRSA without harmful side effects.
You may experience the great effects of Tea Tree Oil in Diligi Wellness Antibacterial Cream.
